Joshua Florez, MS, MPAS (USMC)

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Josh is a USMC veteran (2004 - 2009) of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and the driver of Operation Ten Ten's mission to provide scholarship-based treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to Texas veterans.  From personal experience, Josh understands the unique challenges facing veterans with PTSD and their families during their road to recovery.  His role at Operation Ten Ten is global oversight of nonprofit development, donor engagement, and quality assurance.     

 

Outside of Operation Ten Ten (OTT), Josh is a respected member of the healthcare system.  He graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with a Masters in Biomedical Science (2014) and a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies (2017).  In his role as a Physician Assistant (PA) in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery, Josh has successfully cared for thousands of post-operative patients.  He draws on his experience developing individualized care plans during critical recovery stages to his work with veterans.  Josh is committed to building system-based strategies for care delivery in order to break down barriers and provide improved access for veterans struggling with PTSD.

Outside the organization/healthcare, Josh is a family man, an entrepreneur, and a devoted father to four wonderful children.  He believes in restoration and wishes to help other families heal from the hidden wounds of military service.  We can do it together!

John Heddins

Board Member & Treasurer

John is a dedicated professional with
a passion for serving others.  Inspired by his grandfather's experiences as a United States Marine during the Korean War, John brings a deeply personal connection to his work at Operation Ten Ten.  John has a heart for stewardship and strives to maximize the organization's financial resources to aid veterans in need.

With over 13 years of experience managing
and developing employees and six years in the learning and development space, John brings
a wealth of expertise to his role.

Beyond his professional endeavors, John is a devoted father, married with two children. He actively contributes to his community through volunteer work with various non-profits, further embodying his dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Ian Pagdilao

Clinical Operations Chair & Secretary

Ian Pagdilao, LPC NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in the state of Texas.  Ian graduated from Southwestern Adventist University in 2018 with his Master's in Psychology with an Emphasis on Clinical Psychology. He has worked in health care for almost 20 years and transitioned to working primarily with veterans in the mental health field following graduation.

 

Ian’s experiences working in a psychiatric emergency room, partial & intensive outpatient programs, case management, and individual outpatient counseling have provided him the opportunity to interact with veterans and catch a glimpse of their struggles with PTSD at various levels. Ian provides clinical mental health knowledge based on experiences from the different levels of mental health care to the mission of Operation Ten-Ten. 

 

Outside of his duties in the mental health field, Ian is a devoted family man. He is married and has a large extended family. He has contributed to his community through volunteer work through non-profits and medical mission work, further embodying his dedication to positively changing the world by uplifting one mind at a time.
